PaperTrade NSE is a paper trading simulator. No real money, bank accounts,
brokerage accounts, or financial transactions are involved at any point.
Summary
PaperTrade NSE runs entirely on your device. It does not have a backend
server, and it does not transmit your personal data anywhere. This policy
explains exactly what the app stores, where, and why.
What the app stores, and where
All of the following is stored only in a local database on your
device (Android Room/SQLite). None of it is uploaded to any
server we operate, because we do not operate one.
Your Google account name and email — captured only if
you choose to sign in with Google, and used only to display "Signed in
as ..." on the Settings screen. It is never sent to a server for
verification (there is no server) and is not used for authentication in
any security-relevant way.
Your virtual wallet balance, orders, trades, positions, and
holdings — all simulated, using virtual currency that has no
real-world value.
App preferences — e.g. dark/light theme choice.
What the app does not do
Does not collect or transmit personal data to any server (there is no
app backend).
Does not use analytics or crash-reporting SDKs that collect identifiers.
Does not show ads or use ad-tracking SDKs.
Does not sell, share, or otherwise disclose your data to any third
party, because it is never collected off-device in the first place.
Does not access your real bank, brokerage, UPI, or payment
information — the app has no capability to do so.
Market data
The app fetches live/delayed NSE market quotes (prices, option chains)
directly from Alice Blue's publicly accessible market-data endpoints to
show realistic prices for the simulation. These requests only include the
instrument symbols being looked up — never your name, email, device
identifiers, or any other personal data.
Google Sign-In
Google Sign-In is offered purely as a convenience to personalize the
Settings screen with your name. Because the app has no server, it cannot
and does not verify your identity through Google — anyone with access to
your unlocked device already has access to the (simulated, no-value) data
inside the app.
Data deletion
All app data lives in local device storage. You can erase it at any time
by:
Using Reset account in the app's Settings screen, or
Uninstalling the app, or clearing its storage/data from Android
Settings → Apps.
Any of these permanently and immediately deletes all locally stored data. There is no server copy to separately delete.
Children's privacy
PaperTrade NSE is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from children.
